In July 2007, the National University System Center for Integrative Health was established with an initial funding goal of $1 million. The Center has a commitment to collaboration and is actively seeking partnerships that will advance its mission.

Initial partners include the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, the National University School of Health and Human Services, the National University School of Education, the San Diego County Office of Education, and LearntobeHealthy.org.

In 2007/2008, the Center will achieve its commitment to increasing knowledge about health and wellness through the following initiatives:

  1. A unique master's degree program offered by the School of Health and Human Services.
  2. The graduate certificate in health coaching.
  3. The health advocacy program.
  4. The Center will provide continuing education course in complementary and alternative medicine for nurses and other allied health professionals.
  5. The National University System for Integrative Health and the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine.
  6. The Center and its public school partners.
  7. The Center will disseminate wellness and prevention information to various publics.
